Kiara's personality is strictly cat-like. She is deeply curious, gets into trouble easily, can be sweet one moment and pounce fiercely on you the next. She loves a good, friendly spar and is very protective of her katana, Yuki. She's covered in short, soft fur the golden-brown color of most lions with a long braid of hair going down to her waist. Her eyes are emerald green with the cat-slit iris of felines. She wears all black including pants, a leather belt with sheath, sleeveless shirt, and sometimes a trench coat. No boots, they bother her pawed feet. Kiara's tuffy-tipped lion's tail is her pride--and beware, she stratches (and bites). Her magic is limited to an Ice spell, a Lightning spell, and a Cure spell. (Originally materia magic, I don't feel like bothering with all of the various shit she has and getting hated for it.) She has the strength of an anthro, which is slightly better than a normal mortal but mostly relies on her sword, daggers, and/or claws.

Kiara's first four years of life were of an average childhood with a loving family. Kiara remembers none of it, just as no grown man remembers their toddler years. Around the age of four, perhaps five, Kiara was abandoned. She believes her parents died but she'll never know as she doesn't remember. Quite frankly nothing terribly exciting happened. They did in fact die, but not particularly tragically. A hunting expedition, weekly routine. Kiara was well hidden and the small tribe-like group of fellow lions never found her after their death was found out. Kiara had wandered away in curiosity--a curiosity that would more than once get her into trouble.

Rhydin is a large place, full of many things. For the most part it is a land of medieval-like technology and beliefs. This is Kiara's knowledge of the entire world for her. Basically, technology doesn't exist. (Every time she sees a gun she marvels... and then tries to steal it. XD) Enough of that, the point is to explain her world a bit better. Back to the story.

Life was hard and it is a wonder that Kiara survived to become any older, but she lived as a true lion. A wild beast. She mostly traveled although at that age it was never far. It didn't need to be. Still young in age, maybe only six or seven, Nafari found the wild child. Hard to conqueror and even harder to teach with her different anatomy compared to the humanoid Kiara, Nafari nevertheless began her work on the child. (Nafari is a large cat creature somewhat similar to Nanaki. I like cats. Sue me. XD) It was Nafari that taught Kiara how to live "properly"--she taught her how to interact with other beings as well as gave her lessons in reading and simple arithmetic.

But Kiara couldn't stay in one place for long. She said her sorrowful goodbyes, then left the mother-figure Nafari behind to explore. It was during these travels through Rhydin, sometime in her teenage years, that Kiara came upon Myste. She instantly fell in love with the trees there and soon found her home near a clearing in the forest where a particularly large tree loomed on the edge.

At around seventeen Kiara met Gwenndolyn, her second most important benefactor. A member of a guild now long dead but at the time quite prosperous, Gwenn peeked Kiara's curiosity enough to ensure that the feline followed her around for some time. Gwenn was a good friend and their relationship sparked Kiara's interest in guilds. She joined Gwenn's guild and immediately fell in love with the people there. It was also within this guild that she acquired her weapons and magic, not to mention her love of sparring. She was very sad when the guild died off.

Missing the companionship of guild life, Kiara went in search for another. All over Rhydin. She shouldn't have, many of her old friends were also a part of FotHB, a guild the lion girl ended up joining once those friends introduced her to it. There she met the third and, currently, last most important person in her life: Fox Zandar, the guild commander. Her best friend, Kiara really looks up to him and very much relies values his friendship. She has been apart of this guild for the past several years and hardly wants to part, but an invitation to such an interesting sounding place is too much to pass up. Not realizing she'll be parting from her friends for so long, she readily agrees with much anticipation. She always did love an adventure.
